Hampton Estate Farms
West Surrey
Hampton Estate is a diversified, forward looking, family-run rural business, focused on regenerative and restorative land management. The team at Hampton are deeply committed to restoring the precious habitats they manage and working to ensure that nature is something that everyone can enjoy. People are at the heart of Hampton – with their monthly beef days, nature-based volunteer days, multiple citizen science projects and lots of areas open for people to explore, the Hampton community is ever growing. The estate focuses on regenerative agriculture, rearing Pasture for Life certified Sussex cows – “ecological engineers” who help to restore heathland, chalk downland, woodland and species-rich grasslands. Hampton’s home grown and locally butchered beef and wild venison is sold directly to customers at their beef parties.
Alongside this, they grow, harvest and dry Fuggles hops for breweries across the country – their hops go into beers such as Hog’s Back TEA. The estate has converted farm buildings to offices, homes, an event space (often used for forest bathing and wellness retreats) and a craft centre which is home to a tearoom and gym. Filming takes place at Hampton too, with Netflix and Amazon occasionally using the estate as a filmset. Waggoners Campsite is Hampton’s popular off-grid campsite and has been open for five years, and The Waggon Sauna is their newest wood-fired woodland sauna enterprise… For more information on Hampton do head to their website or follow them on social media @hampton_estate.
